I partitioned my Master HDD (XP) to create a 20gig partition to install Vista. I installed Vista OK (duel boot). I now want to install Vista on a seperate slave HDD. I have installed this HDD. I am now trying to merge the two partitions on my master HDD with PM8.0 - however I am now getting an error message saing that each partition has a different NTFS file version and the operation cannot complete. I have re formated the ex Vista partition within XP and with PM8.0 and still get the same result.
Has anyone got any ideas how to reinstate my Master HDD without losing the XP installation?

NTFS File Version
Hi,
Try deleting the Vista partition and expanding the XP one into the resulting free space.

Thanks for your reply, I managed to solve the problem by running Chkdsk on the ex vista partition. Once completed I was able to merge the two partitions.
